Men's Ministry Breakfast, Palmcroft Baptist Church This is a short video clip of a Spiritual Warfare presentation for the men's ministry at Palmcroft Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona. About two hundred men came to the event -- which was very good attendance from what I was told. They have breakfast and a special guest speaker. I was competing with the scrambled eggs! This portion of the presentation includes a Greek language introduction, since I'm portraying a soldier in the Roman Legion in the first century. It also covers the foundational principle for the study (which is one of the most important principles for the interpretation of ancient literature), that we interpret Scripture in harmony with its historical context. |

Pastor's School, Phoenix First Assembly This is a video slideshow of photos taken at Pastor's School 2009, at Phoenix First Assembly in Phoenix, Arizona. I was at the Church on the Street (COTS) booth promoting the COTS program. I had the opportunity to answer questions and teach small groups of pastors, church staff, and others who were attending the three-day conference. The music in the video is from one of the men who graduated from the COTS Discipleship Program, Jay Harris. He formed a band called Chainbreaker and has recorded a cd, is working on another, and travels and performs at events throughout the United States. Here is the link to his website: Chainbreak3r |

Chapel Service, Southwestern College This is a short video clip of part of a spiritual warfare presentation I gave at a Chapel Service at Southwestern College in Phoenix, Arizona. Featured in the video is Dr. Brent Garrison, the President of Southwestern College, and one of the former Vice Presidents at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Southwestern College is a Christian college that offers undergraduate degree programs. This portion of the video discusses the shield of faith in Ephesians 6:16 using an illustration to demonstrate its importance. The verse exhorts Christians to "take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one" (NIV). This statement, of course, pictures ancient warfare and the necessity of the large, oblong shield for defense against flaming arrows -- along with other projectiles and handheld weapons. |

4th Grade Class, Scottsdale Christian Academy This is a video slideshow of photos taken at a 4th grade class at Scottsdale Christian Academy. I was invited to talk to the kids about the armor of God in Ephesians 6. Part of the presentation included an archaeological slideshow of ancient Roman armor. Many of the students expressed their interest in archaeology. Quite exciting! Finally, the kids really enjoyed the hands-on time we had with my reenactment grade Roman armor -- as you can see by the photos. This was a fun, interactive learning experience for the kids. One they will not soon forget. |

Chapel Service, Scottsdale Christian Academy This is a video slideshow of photos taken at a chapel service at Scottsdale Christian Academy. This was the service for the 1st thru 6th grades, Some of the parents came also. I appeared as Centurio Flavius Quintus Maximus of the Tenth Roman Legion and demonstrated the armor issued to Roman soldiers. We then applied it to the fact that the kids are Christian soldiers, and that God wants us to take up the full armor of God. There was some great hands-on time at the end. The kids had tons of questions. | The player will show in this paragraph |
